Film Story : Adopted from a play written by Tracy Letts, this acidic comedy is centered at Osage County, Oklahoma. These are the hot days of August and movie starts with a prologue about a couple; both have addiction of their own. Beverly Weston, once a famous poet, now an alcoholic and his wife Violet, with mouth cancer and vile words firing out of her mouth. Sick of these poisonous words, all of her children have left the house except one. Story begins when Beverly suddenly disappears and all the children and other family members are called back. At this point the true nature of this weird family is revealed and we know that Violet is not the only one with violent attitude..
